What are your COVID-19 policies?
What is a virtual session like? Before your session you will receive a link to a video chat. For telehealth sessions we discuss your main complaint, review your health history, and then come up with a treatment plan. Treatment can include one or more of the following modalities: qi gong, acupressure, self massage, Chinese herbs, and lifestyle advice. Ritual sessions are done virtually by video or phone. Individualized instructions will be given on how to prepare, i.e. altar building, ancestral offerings, etc. Clients are encouraged to take notes during these sessions.
I do not identify as queer/trans/POC, can I still come see you? Absolutely, but please respect that the healing spaces I offer center the needs of QTBIPOC.
How often should I come in? Treatment plans vary from person to person. Depending on the condition, one could begin with a recommended course of 5 treatments spread over 5-7 weeks. After the 5 treatments, there will be a reevaluation of the treatment plan and whether the patient should continue as before. Some conditions may be resolved in 1 or 2 visits, but this is less common.
Do you take credit card? Cash, check, credit and debit cards, and HSA are all accepted.
Do you take insurance? No. I can provide an insurance receipt to submit to your insurance company (AKA super bill) for acupuncture visits, but it is the patient's responsibility to work with their insurance company on out-of-network benefits.
Do you have sliding scale? I have a limited number of sliding scale and trade sessions available for people experiencing financial hardship. Please click here to send me a message.
What if I have to cancel an appointment?
I have limited clinic hours and there may be a waiting list. Therefore, I require 48 hours for cancellations. This allows me some time to fill gaps in my schedule. Appointments canceled with less than 48 hours notice and appointments missed with no notification will be charged $50 for that appointment.
Cancellations due to COVID-19 infections or exposures will be given a credit and rescheduled at a later date.
Wait, I have more questions!

- How I am protecting myself and the people I work with:
- I am fully vaccinated and boosted with weekly COVID-19 testing unless it is not possible due to testing unavailability.
- I will be wearing an N95 or KN95 masks (or equivalent) during sessions.
- High touch surfaces will be wiped down and sanitized between patients.
- An air purifier will be running during the duration of the visit and between patients.
- Hands will be washed and/or sanitized often.
- If I experience COVID-19 symptoms, tests positive for COVID-19, or have had an exposure to COVID-19 I will notify patients as soon as possible if there is a risk of exposure or to reschedule your appointment.
- I ask patients to do the following:
- Wear an N95 or KN95 masks (or equivalent) during visits. If this is not possible, please contact me to figure out a safe alternative.
- If a patient has COVID-19 symptoms, tests positive for COVID-19, or has had an exposure to COVID-19 before an appointment I ask that they let me know ASAP so that we can reschedule the appointment.
- If a patient experiences COVID-19 symptoms or tests positive for COVID-19 within 2 weeks of an in-person visit I ask that they contact me so that I can quarantine and take necessary health precautions.
- Please text me when you arrive and I will meet them at the door. This minimizes crowding in common spaces and ensures that the treatment space is ready upon arrival. I may take temperature with a touchless thermometer or ask that hands be sanitized entering the building.
